Confucius + Ken Kesey
One joy dispels a hundred cares. When you see a good person, think of becoming like her/him. What a cheery atmosphere, don't you agree? They're out there...One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest We should keep the dead before our eyes, and honor them as though still living. But I have to offer more than I can deliver, To be able to deliver what I do. Try paint picture of it on wall. Writing cannot express all words, words cannot encompass all ideas. From Wikipedia:
In publishing and graphic design,
lorem ipsum is a filler text commonly used to demonstrate the graphic elements of a document or visual presentation. Replacing meaningful content that could be distracting with placeholder text may allow viewers to focus on graphic aspects such as font, typography, and page layout.
The lorem ipsum text is typically a scrambled section of De finibus bonorum et malorum, a 1st-century BC Latin text by Cicero, with words altered, added, and removed such that it is nonsensical, improper Latin.
The literary version of Lorem Ipsum, of course. It’s also a highly entertaining drinking game. Click the blue bird to get a new Quipsum.
- Choose a guesser and an asker.
- Load a Quipsum by clicking the blue bird.
- Click the “Poetry” tab.
- Have the asker choose one of the eight Quiplets, then ask the guesser who said (or wrote) the chosen Quiplet.
- Have the guesser choose the quote author.
- If the guesser fails, he or she drinks.
- If the guesser succeeds, the asker drinks.
- Go back to step 1 and repeat.
- Please play this game responsibly. Bring a blanket and plan to spend the night on the floor.
- Guess the authors.
- Drink.
If this is still too complicated, step 1 is optional.

We have a special quote harvesting device.
Stay tuned:
We are working on “Control Freak” mode, which will let you choose your favorite author(s) and output mode. We are also working on a WordPress plugin.
Meanwhile:
Please suggest your favorite author, or let us know if you see a quote that is non-English (for now) or that was mangled by our quote harvesting machine.
I love this site. It’s not only clever, it’s really funny too.
I love the site .
Oh Mrs. Nelson! It DID work!
What an honor.
Glad you like it.
Let me know if you have any suggestions.
🙂 🙂 🙂
There are waaaaaaaay too many steps in these instructions to be a viable drinking game! Make it simpler, please. 🙂 PS A worthy endeavor.
Thanks Jackie!
I went back to the drawing board and came up with a simpler version of the game just for you and your pals. See above.
